Aurukun: Stories of the Wik People: A rare collection of stories from the Wik People of Aurukun is at Noosa Regional Gallery, Riverside, Pelican St, Tewantin with rare indigenous art-forms collected from the remote northern Cape York community of Aurukun.See galleries.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au. The gallery is open free, Wed-Sun, 10am to 4pm

The Big Pineapple is back: Head to the biggest all-weather markets on the coast every Saturday at the Big Pineapple, 76 Nambour Connection Road, Woombye, 6.30am-1pm with the Fine Food Growers Markets, children’s activities, food, fashion and live entertainment. Ride the Big Pineapple train, walk through the Rainforest to the Animal farm and pat a lama or cuddle a goat. And a pineapple parfait from the Parfait Cafe is a must! See bigpineapple.com.au
